Property Information Reports

Property Information Reports are official letters prepared by the Township that will provide a comprehensive information report specific to a property based upon municipal records available at the time.

Property Information Reports are most commonly requested during real estate transactions but may be requested at any time.

A Property Information Report may be requested from the Building Services Department by submitting the request form in person or by mail.

Property Information Report Request Form

Property Information Reports will identify information relevant to a specific property such as,

    • Approved land use planning applications
    • Availability of municipal water and/or sewer
    • Existence of conservation authority regulated areas
    • Existence of MTO regulated areas
    • Existence of source water protection areas
    • Heritage designations
    • Existence of municipal drains
    • Open municipal permits
    • Outstanding Building Code Act orders
    • Outstanding Fire Protection and Prevention Act orders
    • Outstanding municipal by-law orders
    • Permits issued
    • Zoning designation(s)

Requests may also include property-specific questions pertaining to information not listed above.

Copies of any of the municipal records noted above may also be requested as part of a Property Information Report.

Note: Not all requested information may be available, as responses are limited to current municipal records and some records may have been destroyed in accordance with established retention schedules.

Property Information Reports are processed within ten (10) business days from receipt of a complete request and payment.

 

The fees for a Property Information Report are as follows:

    • $260.00 for a standard Property Information Report, plus
    • $0.44 per page of requested record copies

Notice - Effective July 1, 2026
Property Information Report fees are increasing to $265.00.
Photocopy rates are remaining at $0.44 per page.
