Community Services Attendant - Part Time Seasonal Position
The Community Services (CS) Attendant position is essential for carrying out a variety of duties related to the operations of the Arena, Community Halls, and Parks within the Township of Norwich. The ideal candidate will place an emphasis on maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace. Reporting to the Property and Facilities Manager, the position responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintenance and cleanliness of recreation facilities and working in a team environment to serve users of each facility.
This is a part time role, offering between 18-24 hours of work each week. The rate of pay for the CS Attendant position is $17.70 per hour and is not unionized. The CS Attendant will be offered the option to join the OMERS (Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System) pension plan.
The Township of Norwich is located within the County of Oxford in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, with beautiful countryside, villages, and productive farmland
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Have strong ice-skating skills to patrol public skates
- Have strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to handle physical demands such as standing, moving, walking, lifting, carrying, climbing, managing equipment and supplies.
- Have the integrity and responsibility necessary to handle a cash float.
