Accepting Volunteer Firefighter Applications

Station 2 (Norwich), Station 4 (Oxford Centre)

If you enjoy serving your community and are willing to dedicate the time required to successfully complete a mandatory training program, attend weekly training sessions and respond frequently to emergencies without prior notice this could be your opportunity to make a difference in your community.


Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • be a resident of the Township of Norwich
  • be at least 18 years of age
  • possess the physical dexterity required to perform emergency work as outlined in the position description
  • be able to acquire the appropriate certificates within one year of employment to the position including a Class D-Z driver license, First Aid/CPR and Defibrillator
  • insurable under the municipality’s fleet policy
  • have a means of transportation to respond to alarms
  • no criminal record (with occupational relevance) for which a pardon has not been granted

Interested applicants are invited to an information session Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 7pm at Norwich Fire Station (83 Main St. Norwich). If interested submit an application form and resume to the undersigned before Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 – 4:30 p.m.
